At The Reading Agency’s third annual lecture Russell Brand spoke about his sadness and anger that his old school had no library. He has vowed to help make one. In a lecture peppered with brilliant linguistic riffs he also described meeting an adult who is unable to read, calling this “a nutritional deficit”. To misquote Shakespeare “If this –reading– be magic let it be an art lawful as eating.”
